07h45: Car and tour guide pick you up at your hotel or private house in Da Nang and start the 1-day tour of Hue. Tourists will pass through Hai Van tunnel that is one of the longest tunnels in Southeast Asia (6280m), this is the only “shortcut” connecting Hue and Da Nang in particular as well as the North and South in general.
09h00: The tourists will have the opportunity to admire the charming scenery of Lang Co Bay – one of the most beautiful bays in the world, visit the famous pearl village in Lang Co Bay – listen to tour guide introduce about how to cultivate as well as the pearl processing process of the local people in here. Continuing the journey, the car will pass through Phu Gia tunnel and Phuoc Tuong tunnel – see Tam Giang – Hai bridge with immense and majestic river scene. After about 2 hours, you will come to dreamy Hue city.
10h30: The first destination in Hue tour for 1 day is Khai Dinh mausoleum (also known as Ung Lang) – one of the most architectural “palaces of the other world” in Hue city.
King Khai Dinh is known as the most “modern” king of the Nguyen Dynasty. At the same time, this king received the interference of East-West culture and lavish lifestyle in his life. So even though it was the smallest one in the kings’ mausoleum, it was an architecture that spend the most money and effort in the Nguyen Dynasty mausoleum. Khai Dinh’s mausoleum is a unique architecture mixed between Western modernity and oriental classical that will surprise you.
Another special feature that makes visitors can’t help admiring is that all details are decorated with mosaic art and at the main hall there is a very unique ceiling painting painted with the foot named ” Cuu Long An Van ”, this ceiling painting was painted by Phan Van Tanh, who was known as the Michelangelo of Asia. The painting is over a hundred years old but has never faded in color or had a spider web.
12h00: After visiting Khai Dinh mausoleum, the group will have lunch at the restaurant and experience the culinary features of Hue people.
